Laser scanning sensors are installed on both sides of the STS boom to continuously scan the surrounding area. The scanners generate a 2D detection field and identify objects entering predefined safety zones.

When an obstacle or oversized vessel enters the monitoring area:

Warning Zone → Alarm signal sent to operator

Slow-down Zone → Crane travel speed automatically reduced

Stop Zone → Crane movement stops to prevent collision

The PLC processes detection signals and executes corresponding protection commands.
